The Wheelhouse in Nottingham threw its doors open last weekend and kicked off the new offering in style, showcasing the pub’s brand-new look following a six-figure makeover.

The popular venue has been significantly refurbished throughout and boasts an impressive bar area, together with improved viewing facilities to host the latest sporting events.

The revamped venue on Russell Drive reopened on Sunday 10 June where the celebrations began and continued throughout the weekend including stilt walking and fire eating. The Wheelhouse team welcomed Councillor Cate Woodward to try out the new facilities.

The place to be for big games, the Wheelhouse is equipped with SKY, allowing sports fans to watch their heroes on multiple screens and with high quality sound throughout the venue.

The bar area has also been enhanced with the addition of contemporary tiling and an improved drinks range, with additional cask ales now available as well as great existing drink offers such as two bottles for £5 and selected drinks for as little as £2.69 every day. Guests can also enjoy their drinks in the extended beer garden which features additional seating and new outdoor lighting.

In addition to an extensive drinks collection, the new-look pub will continue to offer a range of great value food and special deals for locals to enjoy throughout the week – including two meals for £8.99* Monday to Friday, curry and a drink for £5.49 on Wednesdays, plus add a drink to any burger or selected grill for £1 Monday-Friday.

Dale Moorby, general manager at the Wheelhouse said: “We’ve had a fantastic time celebrating the reopening and our Nottingham neighbours really came out to support us. Our guests are at the heart of what we do, so it was great to be able to mark the reopening with the local community.

“It was a pleasure to welcome Councillor Cate Woodward to enjoy the new offering too. We’ve already had great feedback on the revamped bar and the sports viewing areas, with many guests planning their next visit around the upcoming matches.

“The team and I can’t wait to welcome new and returning visitors to the Wheelhouse very soon!”
